I am on a mini vacay over on the mainland and I just left the the hotel's bar, where the dj started off the eveing with this set..
I had my wife write it down for you all since I knew it was gonna be H O T !!
1. Opener--- Ghostbusters! Then, because he's the none other than Dj Ernest (really!) he rocked
2. Jump---by the fabulous pointer sisters!
3.Somebody's watching me..featuring one Micheal Jackson singing the chorus "I alway feel like/somebody's watching me by an artist I thankfully I cant recall
4.--This is when it got really hot and the waitress started dancing--Kenny Loggins' Footloose! OhhhOhh oh Foot-loose ohh oh ohh foot loose
5.Let's hear it for the boy--maybe another hit from footloose?
6. But wait--then the bangin' hit---Caribbean Queen from the amazing Billy Ocean!! This bar was SMOKING at this point
7. To let people know that he was versatile, the dj rocked culture club's new hit Karma Chameleon next and the crowd loved it...
8. The only direction to go after this smashing new track...
9. 99 Luftballoons by the alsway fresh and euro Nena.
At this point, we got too drunk and were laughing too hard to actually write...see ya when I get back from the twilight zone

That's an awesome set. A topper for me would have been 'Stir It Up' by Pattie Labelle.

Were you sucked into a time vortex and found yourself in 1984?

Wise to the ways, you are! Thanks
I may have said it before, but its true: All the songs you thought were dead (and many more that you wish were really dead) are alive and well and living in Belize City. Denise Williams, wow!
Its good to be home.

He would have played it, but since it was only 20 years old (as opposed to 21 or older like the rest of the tracks), it just wasn't "fresh" enough yet. Btw, did he play "Flashdance" too? lmao

Seriously, this is like a big freakin' flashback to when I was a DJ/VJ in a pop dance club in the early/mid-'80s. We had to play all this crap back then, but the girls were cute. ;)
