Getting old sounds like it will suck pretty hard...there are perks tho, senior discount coffee at McDonald's for instance...

...you come home from a night of bar-hopping in manhattan at 3 AM, and it's the latest night out you can remember in a long time.

3AM is late for most areas, but not for NY

When I lived in New Orleans you had your preparty bars (10PM), regular bars (midnight), dance bars (2AM), and late-night bars (4AM)

I was never young. I was going on about how today's young people don't know shit before the placenta was even cleared away.

...and when it takes the entire following day to recover from the horrendous hangover you wake up with, you find yourself thinking "wow, I just can't party like I used to...".

We actually just spent a fortune on a new vacumn cleaner a few weeks back. AFTER my husband did the research on vacumns and found this one to be the best.

So don't feel bad Kerry, since we've bought it my husband has been a very happy clean freak. So I let him do all the vacumning.

Well..I am too old to go there anymore...probably not been in around 10 years now, but in St. Louis, you just cross the bridge and you got your 24 hour bar...yup, people getting drunk 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Strip clubs stay open til like 5 or 6. Then open again at like 10, but you can just wait 'em out at the 24 hour place for a few hours.

Moved to Michigan for a while where no place is open past 2 and was very confused during thr transition before I figured out we needed to leave the house before midnight.

Is that place still open??

And since when did getting old have anything to do with vacuums? I think that's young thinking they're aging (which you are) but not old.

I'm pretty sure the implication is that they either 1) don't use vacuum cleaners or 2) get excited about them.

'Old' isn't really anything to do with age, it's an accumulation of higher wisdom and bitter disappointment.

I'm 32 and very, very old.

on my way into work this morning I stopped and jumped in the biggest rain puddle I've ever seen. Which puts me mentally somewhere around five.
