I got a traffic ticket for 300 dollars and I have no way of paying for it. Maybe personal loans aren't the way to go but it's the only thing I can think of.. i only have two weeks to get the cash.

So... what are some good choices? besides not speeding...

You might ask the court to allow you to do community service in lieu of payment.

i think you might be able to work soemthing out with the city....i would call them first to see if you could do a payment plan (the number listed on your ticket)

yeah probably payment plans.. as long as they get their money they are usually happy. Fuck a loan- Id not pay the ticket before I did that

Do you not have any credit cards or are they maxed out? You wouldn't take out a loan for something like this. You could put it on a credit card though. If you don't have one, apply for one with a low introductory interest rate and throw it on that. If you have one and its maxed out, you could call and see if they'll up your limit by $500. Many would. Also the city may accept a payment plan as others have suggested. What's the significance of two weeks? Is that a court date? Cause if $300 is that much of a hardship for you, you ought to challenge it in court. Assuming you have an otherwise good driving record, there's a good chance the judge would reduce the fine if you show up, look like a good, respectable person, and plead your case. And if the officer doesn't show up (and often they have more important things to do than show up on a simple speeding case), it might get thrown out entirely.
