I finally picked this up yesterday and love it. It's got the whole space rock thing going on with a nice bluesy stomp. Great album.

Just got into the groove on this via emusic, and gotta say I'm heavily down with it. One of my fave tracks of the year has to be "The Sniper At the Gates of Heaven".

They remind me a bit of Warlocks, BRMC or kids that REALLY like Spacemen 3's "Things'll Never Be The Same".
I liked what I heard, but it's so derivative that I couldn't see myself listening to it for more than 2 weeks, so I didn't buy it.

If I saw the first half of this post, I'd probably leave right now and go buy it hearing unheard, but then the 2nd half of the post snaps me back into reality.

Get out of here! Seriously? I download everything you send me and spin it, if not that day, then the next. Maybe I did download it and put it on my external.

Ha. I just did that last night in fact. Found a bunch of albums I forgot I had on my external.

I dig this album too. As referenced in a couple messages above, I think it sounds like Clinic meets The Warlocks.

sniper at the gates of dawn is still my favorite release from them. new album just doesn't seem to hold my attention for long, but maybe only because i haven't spent much time with it.

This whole album is pretty damn cool. Definite VU, Stooges and moments of The Doors throughout the album. It's got the drony periods mixed up with the stomp. This has potential to be Top 10 for me. Many thanks to Timis, once again, for the hookup.

"Better Off Alone" is my favourite song of the day.

6.9 on the billy g scale for me:

7: A Very Good Record
6: A Good Record, But One with Questionable Staying Power

i'm liking this record, actually listening to it right now.
i think this is one of those records that i'll enjoy listening to in the moment, but i wont catch myself humming any of the tunes later on.
it's one of those good 'sounding' records that fits a moment nicely.
