Pulp get reissued
Classic Britpop trilogy re-released with bonus CD

Three classic Pulp albums are set to be reissued, each with a host of extra tracks.

1994's 'His 'N' Hers' , 1995's massive commercial breakthrough 'Different Class' and 1998's 'This Is Hardcore' will all be reissued, each with a bonus disc of B-sides, demos and rarities.

The albums will be available in expanded form from August 21, with full details of the bonus disc material to be confirmed shortly.

Love this band.
Listened to Different Class just yesterday.

Great lyrics, and nobody can deliver them like Jarvis.
The "Oh, JESUS!" in "Underwear" kills me every time.

Jarvis is awesome.

A few jobs ago I had access to his bank account and he had hardly any money in there...

I'm just going to stop buying any album that isn't already a remastered, bonus disc, bonus tracks, deluxe edition version. This is something like the fourteenth or fifteenth time I've been burned with buying an album and then, within the year, an announcement being made of a reissue.

didn't import versions of This Is Hardcore come with a live disc, I'd like to have that.

Does any somg come close to the genius magic that is "Common People" cos I barely like Different Class 'ecptin for that song.

Bonus

I interviewed Jarvis about these the other week - he thought a lot of the demos from Hardcore should have ended up on the album and would have probably made it more successful. My overriding impression from the unreleased stuff is that JC was not a well man for a long time between 95-98. The full interview will be in Uncut in a month's time.

I think Pulp were one of the top five bands from the 90's. Jarvis lyrics are up there with the best of the best. His wordsmith, phrasing, delivery and subject matter (90% of the songs had to do with sex) makes him a true talent. The girls LOVED Jarvis and the boys worshiped him. Absolute genius with some dance music thrown in for good measure.

Not sure if you would like it LooGAR but think you would appreciate where they are coming from.

these are all from the hard-to-find sisters ep, right? "street lites" is an incredibly great dirty song.

pub rock version? so, i guess this isn't the waltz that was the "bad cover version" b-side.

"Do You Remember The First Time?"
(from His n' Hers) is right the hell up there.
Although, truth be told, I love ALL of Different Class.
Still, check that song out, it was the first one that grabbed me.

I will definitely be picking this up as I do love this album a lot. I'm less thrilled with the others, but this one in particular, is just excellent. And those deluxe editions usually sound pretty great.

i'm trying to think of this in terms of the pulp songs i hear when i go to clubs. "common people" and "disco 2000" are obviously the favorites, but i heard "do you remember the first time?" last month and i'm pretty sure i've also heard "babies" a few times. (by the way, "babies" is one of my favorite pulp storylines - listening to the sister having sex, then getting it on with her in the closet, then 'i only went with her cause she looks like you'? hot.)

i absolutely love "this is hardcore". there's something very sad about it that get's to me. especially "help the aged", that song always makes me teary eyed.

i haven't heard any richard hawley stuff, i wish jarvis would do some solo stuff too.
