I thought it was pretty funny! All the previews I saw for this show made it look pretty stupid, but I gave it a shot. I'd watch it again.

I thought it was great. Jerry Minor has some of the best facial expressions ever.

Wow, lots of positive reception. I thought the opening bit was pretty funny, but I it went downhill after that to me. I ended up changing the channel about 20 minutes in. Maybe I'll give it a second try.

I still think this show has potential to save comedy on HBO.

because Dane Cook is NOT FUNNY. seriously. at all.

I mentioned that the other day, so far they've got more male nudity on this show per ep than Oz.

Yeah I got a couple Dane Cook discs from someone and I REALLY enjoyed them. But I watched the first Tourgasm and I just think he's run his course with me. The show is AWFUL.

Robert Kelly is funny as shit though.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you on this point. It was Norton that made me nearly incapable of enjoying the show. I caught his stand-up on Leno one night and it was fucking horrible, like one of the worst things I've ever seen. I was actually pissed off after watching it. The second I saw him on-screen during Lucky Louie I nearly shut it off.

I want to kill the little girl though. She's so not funny. Reminds me of the equally irritating tykes on Welch's juice commercials.

I have not been impressed by the show at all. Never been a Louis Ck fan, but I just didn't think it was all that funny.

Just watched it while eating lunch On Demand. I gotta tell ya, not very impressed. The most believable actor on the whole show was the wife.

But I heard Norton say on O&A that it gets funnier. So I'll give it a few more chances.

Jerry Minor (Walter the black neighbor) is from Flint and I just interviewed him for a story next Sunday. Good guy.
I guess the pilot was filmed almost 2 yrs ago and lots has developed from there in terms of how the show is written.
FWIW, I like it. The mugging ep was a bit weighty, sure, but I never thought about flipping the channel. It's got a heart to it that just about every other network show lacks completely.

The little thug mugger was a pretty bad actor though.

agreed. Reminded me of Jimmy Fallon in the way he smiled and almost laughed during most of his lines.
