Doesn't address the issue at hand now does it? I read aplenty. My problem is that I WANT to hear/read/experience everything that strikes me as interesting or good. I read a review or hear a stray track and think hey I'd probably like this. But in truth I'll never hear even a third of what struck my interest and won't remember a tenth of it.
If I could, I'd be up on jazz, classical and blues, too. I'd also have indepth political and philosophical discussions, be knowledable on every culture and historical tidbit, speak 10 languages, visit a billion countries, play a variety of instruments, paint, and build my own spaceships.
The problem isn't trying to keep up. It's more that my interest is perked but I can't follow up.
I'm thinking maybe of just taking up garden puttering and staring at butterflies.
