I'm not talking about one hit wonders or one album wonders. I'm thinking about people you always thought one day would do something amazing even if it was just once.

I'm having a hard time thinking of a musician but James Franco comes to mind. Showed alot of promise with James Dean and then 20 roles later ... nothing. Solid but barely memorable even in big budget affairs like Spiderman. Still young but for now he's been a disappointment.

So name musicians, actors, directors, artists, athletes, anybody but try and stay away from people who had some major accomplishments.

Terrence Trent D'Arby: one very good album, then... KAPUT!

EDIT:
And, as a solo artist, at least, Grant Hart hasn't quite met expectations.

He was but besides a few people who watched the show and most tv critics, nobody even remembers that. But yeah, I meant to mention that as why I thought he had tons of potential. I don't think I would consider Freaks and Geeks an accomplishment as it was a short lived commercial failure on television. Still a good for what it was though.

Unfortunately a lot of people have less talent to capitalize on than I do.

I thought for sure this thread was gonna be about me. And i don't have a job or a wife.

4 multiplatinum albums, recorded for grammy winners and nominees, and let go by one of the worst large urban school districts in the universe. Currently playing for no one of note. Torn between packing it in, or packing up and moving, or maybe going to school for pharmacy or finance or something equally mind numbing. I never was good at making decisions.
