The critters are going to the vet, so it's bath time before they get there.

Any tips for giving a fucking asshole cat a bath? Asides from tying him up with twine and knocking out his teeth with a ball peen hammer?

Cut Satan's nails prior to giving her a bath if you don't want to lose a pint of blood (Just assuming Satan must be a female  ) and if your bath tub is one of those bath/showers with a plastic shower curtain, drap the shower curtain up out of reach or she'll shred the shit out of when she jumps and claws trying to get out of the tub.

but the real advice is why bath her prior to the vet? let the vet do it.

You don't really have to unless its a flea bath or if you have a long hair cat that gets shit stuck in the fur around his/her butt.

ok. good. because she bit me a couple of weeks ago and i had to get a 10-day antibiotic for it. i really don't think i could handle bathing her.

she is long haired. but she takes care of herself. phew.

This is the worst. You have no idea how strong and crazy your cat can be.

Also, I shave our long-haired cat every now and again. Best to have a couple drinks before doing this.

Ding.

And why? It's like soccer moms cleaning their house before the maid gets there.

I'm doing it as a favor to deena. And I escaped unscathed. Had the dog in there too. Sadie's good about it. Unfortunately, while i was dealing with the cat, sadie went and laid on the bed (grrr... DEENA. Dog never pulled that shit when it was just the two of us, now she's a spoiled retarded princess).

So I filled the tub almost enough to drown the cat, or so I thought, with pretty warm water and flea shampoo, although they don't have fleas. Then I unceremoniously dumped the cat in there, then the dog with him. Then i emptied the tub and turned the shower on the two of them. I'm drenched. The animals have no dignity left, and I have all my blood.

I love my dog. She was so well behaved in the tub, and she stretched out in the tub giving the cat no room to flail. Very reminiscent of Robert E. Lee's Swinging Gate strategy.

Its just that its not likely necessary and a traumatic experience for both the cat and you. But even if your cat is an indoor cat since it shares a home with an outdoor dog that might bring fleas in, her statement may not really apply.

Both are indoors, and both smell infinitely better right now. Not that they smelled gamey before, but now they are pleasantly shampoo scented.

Orange juice on the keyboard. Thanks, man. I needed a good laugh.

Hey, you cookin' this weekend? 'cause I've got a freezer full of sausage that's saying, "Phil should cook us". I swear.

Its situations like these that context is just as important as the message.

I didn't think there was such a thing as an indoor dog. I mean you walk her right? and not around the living room. Doesn't mean she's flea infested...just that there's some potential for fleas when you take her outside on a daily basis.

I had to take my girlfriend's cat to the vet yesterday for some long overdue dental work..I felt so bad for her..She had to get about 8 teeth removed and was all loopy last night and had to be locked in my back room so she didn't try to navigate our steps and end up on her head..She now has kitty painkillers and antibiotics for the next week or so..

If the History Channel ever does a documentary miniseries on porn, i hope I get to write the narration script.

my idea, which my wife vetoed, was to put the cat in a cat carrier & just have the cat+carrier soak in the tub for a while
