LSU is going to or has named Notre Dame Baseball coach Paul Mainieri their new coach to replace Smoke Lavall. What do you think of this?
Notre Dame hasn't been bad for a Northern Collegiate team, but I wouldn't say this guy is top quality or as good as some of the less wealthy southern school coaches.

I think it's a great hire. He did as good as can be expect at ND. He came highly touted from a bunch of coaches who know the game like Jim Wells. He'll do great at LSU.
