I'd never heard of this before. You drop some Mentos into a two litre bottle of Coke and it sprays up like a fountain.

Not much to it, but still cool.

Letterman's got some guys outside the building who are going to do it with a couple hundred bottles.

But yeah, this would be an excellent trick for a party. Wait until your buddy's sitting beside an opened bottle and just walk by and drop a mentos in.

Yeah, tried this with my kids a few weeks back. You've got to get all the Mentos in at once to make the geyser because the foaming starts immediately. Don't put them in one at a time.

Have you seen the video "experiment" where 2 guys do this with a variety of organized, downright artistic scenarios? It's like a bunch of cool fountain displays.

That's what they did on Letterman last night.


And Pop Rocks and Coke does nothing. I tried the last time I had some Pop Rocks.
