Just a regular weekend for me...no 4 day.

Thursday: Radiohead at Greek Theatre

Friday: Drive 2.5 hours to fuckin' Ojai to meet my least favourite client, return to office. Saving grace? Radiohead again at the Greek

Saturday; Find the beauty of sleeping in. Clean house. Go to Sounds Eclectico (Kinky and Sidestepper performing) for free in downtown LA.

Sunday: Enjoy sleeping in again. More cleaning of house.

Monday: Work

Tuesday: BBQ for one. Take care of dogs who go psycho during firework season.

Today: Not going in to work; Do a little bit here from the couch and then commence The Drinking. Find me a patio and some draft, after that grabbing some wings tonight and settling in with Rossi.

Sat/Sun/Mon: I have absolutely nothing planned but copious amounts of drinking and bbqing. Actually I think we might hit another patio on Sat. for some lunch and a few pitchers. So far for dinners, I'm planning on some back ribs, souvlaki kabobs and some sausage, not necessarily in that order. And for the booze, I've got sangria, tequila, cider and beer, not necessarily in that order either.

At least THE EPIC BOREDOM is making you into a hell of chef.

Today: Go look at new office space. Complain to people how dumb other people are. Leave town as early as possible to meet up with Rick Derris and his band of Heavies and drive to Bearpaw, in NC to commence the monger weekend at the lake AKA "4th of July No Pants Clambake."

Tomorrow: Mong on DAT Boat for as long as we can handle it. Come home, cook massive steaks and start drinking wine. Saturday night is "Blackout Night." and apparently Nifoc and The Bohicans are scheduled for a 2am show on the main porch.

Sunday: TEH DIEING. Try to remember what I said to Femgar and why she is mad at me ;). Get back out on the boat for another mong sesh. Return and make my famous Baked Ziti with the gravy from scratch. Probably shoot massive fireworks and rant about "VC"

Monday: Drive home in time to get my dog

Tuesday: Fuck over Yail by not going to his 4th of July party because I am ungrateful and unworthy of his love.

You know it, brother. A hell of a chef and a hell of a drunk. If this keeps up, they're going to bury me on the prairies with the wheat kings and pretty things.

4 fucking day weekend, which is so badly needed I'm ready to dance a jig.

Tonight: Drive to Pittsburgh. Hit up all my favorite bars and then probably go to the double-secret afterhours in Friendship to seriously tie one on.

Tomorrow: Wake up and hit Eide's for some bootlegs, stop the restaraunts I miss so damned much, then head to a friend's new place for grilling and horseshoes. This night will invariably end up with a visit to the gay bar next to my old apartment, then the ratty punk bar on the other side of town, then partying at a friend's place ending up with my passing out on someone's floor.

Sunday: Possibly stay another day, but more likely drive back here, then finish out the next 2 days party-hopping, blowing shit up, and smoking a lot.

Mon: No plans, maybe go to beach again

Tues: Watch fireworks over bay in Charleston, go out afterwards

Wed: Hang out for a while before driving back to Charlotte

Definitely looking forward to this long weekend

i havent seen matt pond pa before - some friends have been seeing them for a few years now and always tried to get me to shows but it never worked out where i could actually make it.

bbb are awesome. tamir [drummer] is a casual acquaintance of mine - i know one of his other bands, big lazy, b/c we had done shows with them on the road a few years back & i started hanging out at their tonic gigs soon after.

as for nathan's, i'll be participating in the consumption of dogs, just not during the contest, unfortunately.
tho i hear there's a dark horse in the running this year in the shape of a civil engineering student from CA who ate something like 50 dogs in vegas last month.

I saw Matt Pond PA in a small record store a few years ago and it was a good show. They won't blow you away with their energy or anything, but it was a nice, small intimate show. Not sure how it would be in a big club or outdoor setting.

I've got a 5 day weekend* :

TONITE : work 'til Midnite. Hope & pray that I qualified for the bonus checks they're supposed to be handing out this afternoon, because that determines how much $$$ I blow this weekend.

TOMORROW : errands ( bank/grocery store/etc. ) & rest.

SUNDAY : rest & putz around all day, not doing much. Maybe work on a shelving project I've been wanting to get to forever.

MONDAY : Going to Lawrence to mess around all day.

THE 4TH : No plans, really. Probably watch fireworks out of the north window of our building ( we can see several displays going off at once ) .

TUES : see Sunday.

WED : Doctor appointment in the AM, oil change in the afternoon.

* keep in mind that to get this 5 day weekend I have to work 6 days in a row the week after...including being there at 7AM on Sunday the 9th ( when I'm used to being there until 1:30 AM usually ) .

5 day weekend for me!

last night - radiohead at the greek theatre... went to a bar after, then dealt with some serious drama.

today - kinda freaked out from events from last night after the show, hungover and can't go back to sleep. later tonight, built to spill at the troubadour... unless by some miracle someone gives me a ticket to radiohead at the greek. ;)

tomorrow - i don't know. maybe hit up that sounds electico thingy at night and during the day, there's some park party/bbq going on that some of my friends are dj'ing at. it's in the valley though so depending on how hot it is...

sunday / monday / tuesday - i don't know, i can't think that far ahead yet. lots of sleep and booze will be involved though.
