What are the approximate dates of college semesters in America?

I'm thinking of doing an exchange to UCLA next year, because I still pay the same amount of fees (about US$3500 for the year) as I do here. I need to know sem dates because ours are different I believe - Sem1 is March to June, sem2 is July to November. Thanks to you all.

Thank god. I thought this would have been some Juke Box Hero tripe.

As for colleges, I think it depends on whether the school is on a semester or trimester schedule. My alma was semester, which ran Sep-Nov and Feb-May with some classes offered over the North American summer.

At Glasgow University you have Martinmas (Oct-Dec) and Candlemas (Jan-Apr).

Not forgetting Tempjobmas (Apr-Oct) and Drunkenmas (Dec-Jan).

Places on quarters tend to run (mid) Sept- (mid)Dec, Jan-Mar, Apr-June. Semesters are better. Only two of the UC campuses are on semesters, though, and I'm not sure about UCLA.

I was so ready to get all "Waiting For A Girl Like You" up in this bitch...

When I was in school it was Aug-Dec & Jan-May . But that was like, 75 years ago.
