i was expecting to be overwhelmed by her beauty. surprisingly i was not.

i also met garrison keillor. he's as big as herman munster but not nearly as much fun.

in other news of the evening i also took a fall...more like a belly slide into second wearing a skirt. on pavement. in public. a lot of public. sober. nice, huh?

Hope you're alright ayah--have a martini on me.

Prairie Home Companion was a pretty lousy movie.

I was listening tonight. Cool that you met some legends. I agree with Dreaded Marco on his assessment of the movie. Pretty lousy.

wow. Meeting celebs and wiping out would be a page out of my book, if you scratch the former.

That's just it---I enjoy listening to that program too. The movie is like watching people listen to that program, and nothing else. The side stories were not adequately fleshed out and never come to fruition. The acting performances were good, the songs were a lot of fun, but it did not work as a film.

I talked to Keillor on the phone for a few minutes probably 20 years back. He was suprisingly serious. But he was taping some PSA or other, for literacy programs I think, so I was probably 30th on a list of a couple hundred stations he had to get to.

Nowadays they just localize stuff in their own studio and email them out. But back then it was a big whoop for the celeb to dial their own phone and all.

The more I think about that movie, the less I like it. It was kinda cool (probably not the right word) to see the poeple involved, but there was no story and about 15 minutes too much of Meryl.

so not as pretty as you would have thought, eh? She looks like she'd have porcelain for skin.

Bummer about the digger... hope you're okay and that many drinks were consumed afterwards. That's what I would have done.
