Ahem...That article is wrong. Funeral came out in 2004. Incorrect release year information bothers me.

Hey, Comic Book Guy.
The article is from NME, which is published in the UK, where (as I think has been stated at least 3,167 times on Obner previously) "Funeral" wasn't released until 2005.

Well then why are they making such a big fuss already? They won't get the second album for another two or three years.

i hope it's good, but i smell huge sophomore slump potential.

I'm worried because they don't have a whole lot of B-sides. It seems like all the stuff they recorded made it on the record. While this is probably completely meaningless, it worries me that they don't seem to be choosing from a glut of material.

i'd have to say that most of the songs i've heard since the debut have been less than spectacular with the exception of "Intervention". and "Cold Wind" I guess, but not so much.

but then I have no idea what of these if any will end up on the record.

yeah i didn't like cold wind which is why i am nervous. now that they know everyone is going to listen to whatever they record, i'm sure it changes everything, no?

Actually it was some kind of show at my old (Art) High School back in Montreal. Some shity French metal band was playing first... and then my brother's ex-girlfriend's band played and then said ex-gf came out on stage and introduced Regine who then sang a song in French. It was weird.

This is very true (they similar ethnic backgruonds, actually). I think she was in the dream somehow too, although the ex I was referring to is a different one, she plays in a French band who's name I can't remember right now.
My guess is L'Eglise Saint-Jean Baptiste, where I just saw Charlemagne Palestine, or the church on Saint-Viateur.
My first guess was correct.
