Last night I had a triple billed Birthday Party for Bro, Sis and Wife. Copious amounts of wine imbibed. Woke up cloudy and slow.

Took a long walk with my boy and our dog before the temp peaked. Got home and rolled out some heavy duty plastic(viscuine, sp?)in the backyard. Positioned the fan sprinkler to rain on the plastic. Doused it in liquid soap. Then picked up my kid and winged him down the slip and slide about 30 feet. Then, of course, I took a running start and flung myself down the alley. Fun, but I feel like I just played in the NFL without pads.

Then we sat on the backporch and ate some Rocket Pops, you know, those red, white, and blue Italian Ice popsicles. Now, Ima gonna take a nap.

Welcome back? Seems like you haven't been here in a while. Yeah, I couldn't imagine flinging my body head first down a slip and slide right now. Seems a lot more fun when you weigh less than 100 lbs.

Liquid soap??? I'm going to assume you did this on the lawn?

Goodbye lawn!

i hate the summer. Not rain on your parade. But, I always did enjoy the slip'n'slide. I remember in college in our dorm we would cut open the big black trash bags and wet the hallway and throw soap on the carpet and then just slide all the way down. It was great fun. Didn't need to be summer either.

Yep, I hate Summer too. Brutal heat and Hurricane Season. But, at least we can place some wagers and hopefully cash in if we do get hit If you'd like to help us out with some funds, the link below will show you where to place your bets. If you win big , throw us some change please. :)

This reminds me of one summer during Grad School days and me and a friend decided we would roll down a grassy hill "like when we were kids..."

She went first and, like myself, being totally sufficient in the breast area starts yelling "ow, oww OWWWWWWW" as she spun down the hill...at the bottom she stood up clutched her breasts...at that point, I decided, I'd rather walk down to meet her. I'm not sure I'm up for full-frontal slip and slide either.

This 60% humidity is fun.

Someone throw a bucket of freezer ice scrapings in my face so I can move parts of my body for a few minutes.

I suppose it might be worth it if we get lightning tonight.

I've loved the last 10 days of summer (the first days of summer), because I spent them properly: at the beach.

Because of this thread I went out and purchased a box of popsicles.

I've eaten like 10 of them already.
