All I've heard is "Crazy" and, goddamn, I love that song.
Then again, I am past the target demographic, so the only place I've heard discussion of this band is here.

I have seen it in charts and on peoples best of lists, but I have yet to hear a song. Actually, my exposure to random music is almost zero since I never listen to the radio and don't have cable to see music television.

You should hear this, timmy.

To my ear, it seems that the opening is borrowed from Cake's Prolonging the Magic. What was the single on that?... Can't recall, now.

It's a pretty good song. Nice video too.

Yah, it's totally totally over-hyped here.

Argh, the CBC (national radio) played it last night during some show and i nearly barfed. It soooo sounded like they were trying to be cool.

It's alright. My theory: people hear so little real soul that their ears perk up when they do.

It in some way reminds me of: Moby's "Porcelain", and/or Primitive Radio Gods' "Standing Outside A Broken Phone Booth With Money In My Hand".

I could have gone the rest of my life withouth hearing this song mentioned again. This could possibly be my #1 most hated song ever made.

Does persistent posting in this thread make the alleged overhype worse? Discuss.

I didn't mind it when it came out. If only because it sounded dif than anything else on the radio at the time. Then it got overplayed. :(

Oh God no. I would like it if I could go back in time and kill those primitive radio gods. just plain awful. What made it worse was way back when I went to some concert that our local radio station put on. They played a few songs and the guy was flicking off the crowd, among other things, like he was leading some anti-social punk band. The dude struck me as an arrogant bastard.

I think this settles it:

http://www.break.com/index/gnarlskid.html

When fat, white kids are caught singing a song in their bedrooms while dancing with oversized stuffed animals, then yeah... it's overhyped. It's still a good song though. One day I'll probably listen to the rest of the album.
