there are certainly worse things you could be listening to.

she doesn't "rule" but she doesn't offend my senses in the way that most female singers do.

No, I like this album a lot.

...and I'm not even a lesbian.

It drops in quality on side 2, and the lyrics get a little too preciously poetic at times, but yeah. "Save Me/The Mind of Love/Miss Chatelaine" is a great opening trio.

I've thought most of her pop albums have been very good.

Do honorary lesbians count?

Well, can a straight, heterosexual male be an honorary anything to a lesbian? I mean we're just unwanted competition, right?

...and as long as we're talking lesbians here, why is it that a lesbian couples always seem to made of one beautiful, feminine woman and her rough, squat, cigarette-smoking, truck driver-like proto-male? The consistency of these odd pairs is astounding.

Even among the supposedly "masculine"-identifying "bear" couples I've met, pretty often one of the guys is a good deal more "stereotypically" "ghey" than the other.

Can I possibly equivocate more?

That's a great record. Most of her stuff is great.

And her cover of Roy Orbison's "Crying" is bone-crushingly good.

God bless the canuck lesbians.

I love that record.

My Mom bought it when it came out and I ended up kidnapping it.
I think I had a crush on her for awhile, (now she's chubbed up a bit too much for my liking).

...But that voice... jeebus!!!! I wish I could sing like her.

She sang that song, Constant Chaffing, or something right?

I have never heard anything else from her.
