Nebraska was selected number one for best Nickname, which surprises me a little. It's an odd nickname, so it deserves points for that, but probably isn't as intriguing as Boilermakers, Tar Heels, Demon Deacons or Hoosiers.

Clemson was selected number one for best logo, which I don't get. A ton of schools have a paw design and Clemson's isn't that great. Out of the ones that were listed, I would have went with Miami or Iowa, since they actually use a variation of those on their helmets.

What the hell is the Crimson Tide anyway? I like it though... "crimson" is such a fey, arcane, almost biblical word.

I looked it up. I always thought it refered to red tide which I thought was a strange thing to name a team after. Aparently it doesn't mean anything just a reference to their uniform color.

While LSU doesn't have the best nickname, I've always enjoyed the story behind it.

I'm a Hurricane fan so of coure I'm biased. The nickname isn't the best but it was a perfect choice the time it was made as well as what us South Floridians been going through now.

The logo is at least a top 10. I mean, when you say the U , college fans know what team it is. Come on guys, admit it. There's only one Image
