...that most of their best songs have the word "Moon" in the title?

"Save a Secret For the Moon"
"You and Me and the Moon"
there are others too, but I only have Get Lost to refer to right now.

There are exceptions, of course. But it is a consistent pattern that I have noticed.
Or at least that I perceive in my own "special", PopTodd way.

Any in agreement or should I go get bent?

Interesting.
How so?
Better explain yourself before you start throwing accusations like that around.

And how does that have ANYTHING to do with this post?

I think he's referring to the speculation that Merritt is racist because he doesn't like rap.

Never heard that before.
I'm sure Merritt is a miserable bastard in the same way as Morrissey. Their music just reeks of self-loathing and misery-wallowing.
But it's also brilliant.
If the guy is a racist, then he is a fuck-all.
But not liking rap does not make one a racist.

Tee hee. I was, of course, referring to the off-the-cuff accusations made by that one 'journalist' whos name I forget.

And I own pretty much everything Merritt's ever done, so make of that what you will.

And lighten up.

I just had never heard the acusations that he was a racist.
And I am as light as air.

If one more person tells me to lighten up, I swear I am gonna start cracking skulls.

I don't know any Magnetic Fields song with the word 'moon' in the title.

So I'd have to say no, I didn't notice.

Don't forget these from the Magneticfields:

"Sad little Moon" from their Album: Holiday
" I have the Moon" Album: The charm of the highway strip
"Lovers from the Moon" Album: The wayward bus/Distant plastic trees
"The dreaming Moon" also from Album: Get lost
