Massive Attack Tour Dates

Massive Attack are to tour North America later this year.

Although the Bristol group made an isolated appearance in America earlier this year, playing at the Coachella Festival, they have not toured extensively in the US and Canada since the release of 1998's 'Mezzanine'.

It is believed that long-time collaborators Elizabeth Fraser and Horace Andy will join Massive Attack for the new dates, but they have yet to confirm their involvement.

The tour calls at the following venues:

Toronto V Festival (September 10)
Montreal Metropolis (11)
Detroit State Theatre (12)
Chicago Riviera Theatre (13)
Houston Verizon Wireless Theatre (15)
Austin City Limits (16)
Dallas Nokia Theatre (17)
Phoenix Celebrity Theatre (19)
San Diego SDSU Open Air Theatre (20)
Berkeley Greek Theatre (22)
Las Vegas The Joint (23)
Hollywood Bowl (24)
Washington 9:30 Club (28-29)
Philadelphia Tower Theatre (30)
Boston Orpheum Theatre (October 1)
New York Roseland Ballroom (3-5)

The band, now comprising Robert Del Naja and Grant Marshall, are expected to release 'Weather Underground', the follow-up to 2003's '100th Window', in early 2007.

You KNOW you wanna see 'em! For me, one of the major highlights of this year's Coachella Festival.

My man has been trying to convince me to go to this. This line up sounds good. Apparently it's something like: Massive Attack, Flaming Lips, Gnarls Barkley, The Hidden Cameras, the Dears, Sam Roberts, Wolf Mother (?)...

I'd loooove to see Massive Attack. I'm a fan and I've never seen them before.

Do you think Tricky will be there? No eh?

Polly, while having Tracey would indeed be heavenly, it was beyond wonderful to have Liz Fraser sing with 'em.

she was there at coachella, i wouldn't be surprised if she was touring.

think of this show in la: massive attack & tvotr. dave sitek is collaborating with them on their new stuff. hence, tvotr doing something with massive attack live?!?! and at the hollywood bowl?! already got my tix!!! :rawk:

i highly doubt tricky would show up, they hate each other... but that would be fucking amazing. and tracey thorn, good lord - i don't know what i'd do.

also heard a very strong rumor hope sandoval from mazzy star is collaborating on the new album.

This is sooo fucking sweet. It will be like seeing Radiohead there for their Ok Computer tour back in '97.

He's been in LA for years, he used to live next door to a friend in Venice.
