So I only caught about the last 25 minutes of this. Quite a political platform for Mr. Vedder there. Did I hear wrongly, or did Ed refer to one of his fans as a Nazi because he didn't share the bands political ideals? It came after a question from the audience, and it sounded as if Ed mumbled something in German under his breath.

A friend has it TiVo'd, we are supposed to get drunk and watch it this week. I will try to report back.

Let's take away his right to free speech. Vedder's, I mean.

Milquetoast left and rabid right only, please.

Not to be misconstrued, I love Pearl Jam. I'm just trying to figure out for sure if what he mumbled is what I thought it was. Speak away Eddie.

I don't have it in front of me, but I think the recent Magnet asked Vedder about his outspoken beliefs and if he cared if it upset some of their fan base... If memory serves, he said he will continue to speak out against the admininistration, but he respects Pearl Jam's fans regardless of what they think. An honorable position I'd say.
Interested to know if the subject of the thread is true because calling a fan a Nazi goes against what he said.

I'm sure "You're with me Leather" is just as concerned with Ann Coulter's unhinged free speech rights.

not sure if this is what you're referring to but when answering the question about how he feels about some of their fans not sharing their views he jokingly responded with 'fuck em.' (which was of course bleeped out, maybe it sounded like a muffled nazi comment?) he then went on to add what the guy above me said- that he respects others' opinions and if they disagree he's at least happy that peole were talking and sharing ideas.

It wasn't bleeped out in the version I saw. I could've sworn the last word was "kampf".
