So I work with this 20-year-old kid who really listens to no music except what he's spoon fed by the media. Fine. He's 20. Still a kid. Understandable.
Mostly, it's mainstream country, with a bit of punk-type stuff thrown in... but only current bands.

He's the kid that loaned me The Dead 60's disc.
I heard the Gang Of Four influence in a few songs and responded by letting him borrow Entertainment!.

He brought it back to me, with a huge smile, shaking his head...
"Awesome! This was just amazing!"

Yeah.
Still feels good.

the dead 60s are great! they're from liverpool. saw them at rothko last year. i should've bought the cd, but i wanted the t-shirt more.

Oh yeah, I liked the Dead 60's disc.
I just heard a bunch of other, older bands in their sound and wanted this guy to know a little about where they came from.

It worked.
The Clash are next to loan out. (He said he "knows the name, but not really the music" :shock: )
