This weekend couldn't have come sooner. I've had one of the shittiest weeks ever. When you leave your office, get in your car and burst out in tears...it's time to rethink your employment. *sigh*

Tonight: Experiment with the multiple bottles of alcohol enjoying residence in my kitchen.

Saturday: Meet with my ol' high school mates (we get together every 3-4 months) for lunch at El Cholo's --- mmmmm, margaritas. Afterwards, treat myself to a pedicure and get my nails done. After that? Who cares, I'm planning on doing fuck all.

Sunday: Paint my fence and get a tan while doing it.

Sunday: Probably laundry

Today: Got to head in to work in a little while to help the boss get ready to move, so that means backing up data most of the day. After that, I got asked by one of the profs in the department to help me move a fucking piano. I'm 5'7 and maybe a buck 80, what is it about me that screams "Piano Mover"? There'd better be beer or I'm cutting the goddamn strings, that's all I've got to say. Later on tonight there's a farewell party for my boss at this Mexican restaurant, so I'll probably get into that Cancun spirit(s).

Sat/Sun: Head out for breakfast and spend day recouping with sangria. That's literally all I've thought about so far, the food and the drink.

I really have no idea, all I know is that it's on a truck and has to go downstairs from what I've been informed. All I know is that it's cutting into my patio time this afternoon.

I'm off to Mtl again.

Going to a memorial for Senor Six's Grandmother (she was 96).

Then visiting my fam on the way back.

Hoping to make it into the actual city of Mtl and see my bro & best friend.

Argh... pretty damn hungover from last night. When to a local show and am so spent. Me and the Mister did it up.

ride my bike, swim, try some running (blech), attempt (again) to clean out my closet and purge bookshelves of stuff that i'll never read again, get in a little make-out time with the slampiece, make and consume blueberry pancakes, go to the chicago folk & roots festival, listen to music, work on jigsaw puzzle, finish "eats, shoots and leaves". the end.

It's as dry as you'd expect it to be, but I'm finding it amusing so far. And after that Rwandan book, I need to read something light-hearted... haha...

my mother is in town, so we're going to see "wicked" tonight because she's obsessed with the idea of taking me to the theater.

and then tomorrow i'm going to see irma thomas. i'm very excited. i hope she still has the pipes that i know well.

i have no idea what to do on sunday. if the weather is nice, i may ride my bike.

My last weekend in my 30's. Taking vacation.

Kids are going to relatives downstate for a week (grampie taking them to Bawstin)

Wife and I plan much booze and conjugality.

Also, I will officially acknowledge the turn of the millenium Monday when I turn 40. The first 6 years were just the pitcher warming up in the bullpen.

Loading up some more office supplies and taking them to Montgomery. I would get mad, but I get paid miles (and miles and miles)

Then heading to pop's house. My sister and her husband are in town for a while, so probably drink (a lot), swim, make some mixes for my bro in law, and generally monger.

Sunday means heading to montgomery, unloading the office stuff and sitting down and mailing out a bunch of past due letters.

Nothing eventful.
