anyone use these things on your cell?

jesus. i'm like addicted or something.

i love finding bizarre things and uploading them to hear some of my friends' responses when they call me. :lol:

I had this with T-Mobile awhile ago- they call it Caller Tunes. I only had it for a month because it was a free promotion, but I had TONS of 'missed' calls because people would call me, but when they heard the music instead of a ring, they'd sort of freak out and hang up, then call back. I got a lot of funny voice mails.

i'm sure that cingular does.
and i don't know what they charge.

i have verizon.

it's 99 cents a month to have the service.
and then $1.99 each tone.
a rip off? sure. but, i'm willing to pay for a couple a month.

Apparently Cingular has the same rates.

I'm guessing that once you buy your second tone, you can switch back and forth between as you please?

oh yes.

and i have the same tone for several people.

and i think (on verizon) you can have up to 25 assigned tones.

I just saw an ad for these, they look like fun. $1.00 a month will probably prevent me from signing up though.

The thing that will prevent me from signing up is that Cingular's site says that the answer tones expire after a set amount of time, but they don't say how long that is. If it's 10 years, no big deal, but if it's 2 months, then I ain't going to bother.

Daystar, you spent $50 on tones? yikes.

oh, and verizon's expire after a year.
which is reasonable to me.
hell, i'd get sick of hearing the same thing way before that when i called someone anyway.
