I'm downloading Season 3 right now; how's it stack up compared to 1 and 2?

I like 3 better than 2, probably because of my sheer hatred for Ziggy & Nicky. I haven't seen 1 in the longest time, but I really enjoyed Season 3.

Useless Wire Trivia:

When Freeman called Homicide and got the bald guy on the phone, that was Ed Norris, former Baltimore Police & Maryland State Police Commissioner. He is currently a talk show host on the newest version of WHFS.

The social worker who counsels Cutty, aka the guy Bunny Colvin had coffee with, is former Baltimore drug kingpin Melvin Williams. He did a pretty long prison term if I remember correctly.

Season 3 is pimp tight, and I keep fucking missing this. Gotdamn Central Time, who the hell can be done with sunday dinner by 7?

My fave character on the whole bitch is Slim Charles, but I also really like Marlowe.

I know Bloor is partial to Bodie.

Oh, and the Season 4 preview got me excited, and i heard it involves the school board, kinda like 2 involved the Docks.

i liked both of them

esp how deliberately outrageous the ziggy character was meant to be, but it was okay with me cuz he constantly brought the laughs (method man!!)

that said, i think one of few moments wire faulted (if it did, ever) was during some bits of season 2 and 3 finales. for instance, after everything was fucked, when nicky is with his old lady friend/fuck buddy (?) in the playground drunk, and starts waxing poetic about broken dreams and college kids etc etc. going overboard with the melodrama. stuff like that sounded really forced, maybe it was nicky’s delivery.

that really caught me off guard

apart from that hmm lets see... the kima titty suckin (young black girls, take note) and OH SHIT the major interracial boinkin with an overhead angle (i mean, seriously) at the end. and also mcnulty's goofy ass smile walking down the lane on his new gig. just thought the ending of season 3 was handled a bit shabbily, with all the major drama that went down, but they still wanted to rub some stuff in our faces. obviously one of the best things about the show was how anti-rubbing-it-in everything had always been. (man, like when wallace got shot, it was fucking freaky. a little something inside of me died with him that day). some bizzare stuff happened in the s3 finale, but hey, they prbly had to do it to abide by the HBO nudity quota etc

these are just very minor grievances (and obv in the case of the titty suckin--not reallly). too many highlights to note, so its prbly better this way

Cutty smacking that bitch accross the face may be the single best moment of this entire show. Someone make me an animated .gif avatar of that shit.

Season 3 was fucking awesome; I'm with Fu, in that my absolute hatred of Ziggy was an impediment to it's perfection.

Brother Muzon & Omar teaming up was just too cool. Their showdown in the alley was fucking awesome.

I went back and watched it at least 4 times and laughed like I hadnt already seen it about 20 times. You just cant make it up how tight that scene is.

Yeah, I was definitely hyped up. And watching that shit where Marlowe peeped the whole scene and bucked Avon, and then "Gotta be Smart, STRANG" told him about killin D was fucking sick.

I REALLY need to get the first season and watch that sheee again.

Still hoping they decide to renew for one more season to finish the intended 5 season arc.

President Bush should take a cue from Slim:

"It don't matter who did what to whom. Fact is, we went to war an' now there ain't no goin' back... If it's a lie, then we fight on the lie. But we gotta fight."

This is going to be the first time I watch the show as it airs. I think it's gonna suck that I can binge out on the dvds. This show practically demands access to the next episode.

I just began this show about a week ago. So far I've knocked out three discs for season 1 and find it excellent. That preview on HBO for the new season is fucking badass!

Is there anything that is a must see this fall? I'm giving "Vanished" on FOX a chance since it's in the vein of 24, but the rumor is "Kidnapped" on NBC is supposed to be the better version of a kidnapping plot. If I didn't have Tivo though, I'd probably just watch HBO shit.

Is Omar going to jail in this season? IT sure looked like it.
