I've compiled the results (122 voters, 509 albums) and will soon send off a top 20 list to KPH so that the list construction can begin.

Thanks for voting everyone, especially tentoze, Aimaa, Pagoda, and BrokenWitch04 who all submitted write-in votes for albums that were on the drop-down list. I know that last name, first name thing is complicated. Not to mention dropping the "The" from the beginning of a band's name.

Most written-in: Tie between the Earlies and Les Savy Fav.

Ooooh, disssss.

Let it be known that I refrained from editing and resubmitting out of respect for your workload shmoo, although I really wanted to switch Arcade Fire (#5) and Joanna Newsom (#6) on my list to give the points to JoJo.

shmoo, was wondering if there was a way to publish a secondary list of results based on giving 20pts to #1 albums and 1pt to #20 albums. (i find this more accurate.) If not, i understand.

still frothing for the official obner list. :)'''

Let's deal with the original list first.

The top 20 will be the same 20 albums, but a slightly different order. How are you defining "accurate"?

it's all math. you're giving 4pts for the #1 album as well as the #5 album. it's more accurate to say the #1 album is 4 places (points)

Awesome Kev.

There might be some typos in the two you selected me for. Just keep an eye out, I guess.

Also, in case anyone is like "but why didn't I get to write about Arcade Fire!?!!", I literally flipped a coin when it came to instances where 2 people had both picked the same number 1.

But to answer one of your questions, YES THE BRIBES DID WORK AND THANK YOU FOR THAT!

I voted in a rush on the way to do something else. If an inadvertent write-in frosts yr balls that badly, turf my ballot altogether. It ain't changing my life one way or another.

Oh, every vote counts. Never fear.

Careful criticizing the work I've put in though. You don't want to ruin Christmas.

Except a lot of people specifically refrained from making the distinction between a #1 album and a #5 album, and instead formed their lists based on Shmoo's teir-ranking system. So I think, in this case, your system would be a much less accurate result.

yup, all you're doing is guessing. guessing that your idea could possibly be more accurate.

Why do I think I can write? Sending my blurb because I don't want it...

Hmmm...who else can it be? Are you saying there's a chance another album could be No. 1?
