Where can I listen to a song that will say it all about Squarepusher, thus allowing me to form an opinion?

I don't think you'll find a song that "says it all" about him because he has really changed his sound over the years.

e.g. "Feed Me Weird Things" is really quite different frmo his latest stuff.

(for the record, I LOVE that album, espeche "tundra")

you need to listen to "hard normal daddy" or "feed me weird things." i didn't like squarepusher at first... it's more of an acquired taste.

Hard Normal Daddy was great until I got into Herbie Hancock's Thrust, Headhunters, & Sextant

Key Squarepusher tracks:

"Come on My Selector"
"Port Rhombus"
"Iambic 5 Poetry"
"My Sound"
"Cooper's World"
"Dimotane Co." (maybe, I forget what's what off of Feed Me)
"Shin Triad"
"Vic Acid"
"My Red Hot Car"
"Tetra-Sync"

Go through those in that order, and you'll have a pretty good idea of what he's about.

edit: but "Port Rhombus" is about as close to a one-track synopsis as you could get, IMO.

You might like Music is Rotted One Note. It's not as pretty, but it's a similar sort of hazy, psychedelic electronic jazz-fusion thing.

Big fan of the guy. Basically he has two sides: jazzy bass player or Aphex Twin-esque schizo beat programming .
He likes to do some crazy, high BPM stuff and play a nice slow line underneath. Hard to explain.
His last record Ultravisitor does a good job of summing up his sound. It's got a good mix of everything.
Like shiv said, Go Plastic is GREAT, and probably his most accessible electronic release. I say "electronic release" because Music is Rotted One Note is accessible, but in a different way. Its pretty much a homage to Bitches Brew/On the Corner-era Miles Davis.

awesome.

youtube was mentioned above, and there is a great 2 pt. little interview with the man, when he was a little younger about his recordings:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmSOmf2Xta8pt.2

I found these to be most informing.

Yeah, I've been wondering if folks like Aphex Twin would come out to cash in on some of the current trends. Seems like he was doing much the same thing back in the late 90s/early 00s. And, he's notoriously known to do things just for the money.

Love Squarepusher. He's one of those acts I'd love to catch live in a good venue. Hyped for the new record.

I like this new track. Show these kids how it's done! (Of course it doesn't have any wubs or heavy drops so they probably won't like it.)

It's great that someone like Skrillex mentions Aphex Twin a lot. Hopefully kids will be checking him out because of that. And realizing that Skrillex is totally missing the point.
