One of the funniest I had seen. It certainly helps to have watched the show before, because so many reocccuring jokes came back (eg Tweety Walk, chipped tooth, Buster laughing at profanity, Teamosil, etc). Damn it ruled.

Yeah it was pretty funny even if I did miss some of those jokes. I'm going to start watching the first season on dvd soon.

Actually, I was underwhelmed by tonight's episode. Just not that funny for me.

Since I can't remember to watch TV shows when they are on, I'm not even going to try with this. I bought the first season on DVD and really liked it, so I'm just going to wait for season 2 on DVD. I'd rather watch them in order, even if I have to wait a while.

I didn't like this one much, either. Tobais knocking over the fridge? C'mon! That's so every-other sitcom.

Maybe I'm just mad because they went 3-4 weeks without new episodes.

Yea but what about the line "Oh, you're family isn't laughing about that yet" when Sitwell made the comment about Buster wanting to marry his mother. And Buster laughing incessantly while the drill sergeant was cussing him out. And George Michael. That dude has comedic timing like a fox. I dunno, maybe I'm just a fanboy, but tonight was really good to me.

yeah but the overall idea was that the house was falling apart....remember the dad hitting the beam in the attic....

Whatever Gob.

I thought the episode was really funny but not the best yet or anything. George Michael's timing is amazing though and Gob is the funniest character on television right now. Buster is a close second.

Something I don't think this show gets enough credit for - the density of the humor. It's just THICK with jokes. I miss stuff all the time cuz I'm still laughing at the joke from 2 seconds ago. It's like a live-action "Simpsons" that way.

It was all right. Why again was Gob whistling like that??

Anyone catch any of 24 yet? I have them on Tivo and I'm going to start them soon before tonight's episode.

Chipped tooth? Buster wanted to marry his mother? What episodes are these references to?

For an AD fanboy, I sure miss a lot of jokes.

Buster marrying his mother was a joke earlier in that episode. It was one of the headlines on the magazine that had Buster and his mother dressed alike on the cover. I don't remember the chipped tooth.

I downloaded the episode and watched it again, and this time caught that.

Lousy reception + lousy eye sight = unnoticed visual jokes

I thought the 2 episodes they showed of Family Guy were pretty hilarious, even tho they were repeats.

It was still pretty funny - I did miss the first 7 min., though. I'm going to have to catch them later on today...

Not to mention all of last season with Lucille 2 and the joke of Buster being in love with a Lucille, which just so happens to be his mother's name.

The chipped tooth was a reference to the Mr. Bananagrabber episode in the first season.

Gob was mad that Michael said he couldn't have any more free bananas from the banana stand so he decided to eat candy apples instead. He took one bite and chipped his teeth, causing him to whistle whenever he talked.

This was last season sometime.

this is hands down my favorite show on TV right now. Of course, there's a new season of Chappelle coming up in Feb., there's American Dad (non-Family Guy Seth MacFarlane show which seems very much like Family Guy) premiering after the Super Bowl, Seth Greens Robot Chicken (if anyone is familiar with Toyfare's Twised Toyfare Theater you'll know how fucking funny this has the potential to be) so it looks like my ass is on the couch for awhile.

Chapelle got pushed back to somewhere around July...
Just stick with Fox Sunday nights, and you'll be good through summer...

yeah unless there's some crappy nascar event, teen choice awards, or the 500th showing of Independence Day happens to be on. Fox is but a small cog in the overall scheme of my Saturday night TV marathon.

I hope we have HD DVR by the time that Curb Your Enthusiasm is back on in a few months.
