Found two tapes in my basement last night... one being a Sunday Special I did while in the employ of WREK. The "special topic" being Sinead O'Connor (used to be a HUGE fan). I don't have a date on the tape, so I can only assume it was around 1990 or so.
Never Get Old
What Do You Want (I think this was a b-side to Emperors New Clothes and sung in Gaelic)
Damn Your Eyes
Heroine (duet done with the Edge)
Last Day of our Acquaintance
Mandinka
Just Like U Said it Would B
I Am Stretched on your Grave (this was a remix I had that started off with Laura Palmer from Twin Peaks talking backwards)
Someday my Prince Will Come (Snow White's tune from the movie)
Jerusalem
You Do Something to Me (from Cole Porter comp)
The Value of Ignorance
Feel So Different
I Want Your (Hands on Me) - different mix with MC Lyte
Nothing Compares 2 U
Kingdom of Rain (duet with guy from The The)
Troy
Jackie
My Special Child (a one-off she did for a Kurdish relief effort)
Just Call Me Joe (live version recorded in BBC studio)
The other tape I found was when I was covering for my husband (then boyfriend) while he was sick. He used to host a weekly punk/hardcore show, and I think I even announced that since I had no vast knowledge of punk or hardcore, I was playing whatever the fuck I wanted and not to call me and complain. Again, can only presume this was around 90 or 91.
Drug Raid at 4 am - Lard
Something Wonderful - Revolting Cocks
All the Things You Are - Meat Beat Manifesto
Don't Stand in Line - Pailhead
Never Understand - Jesus and Mary Chain
This Gift - Mudhoney
Shadrach - Beastie Boys
Christina - Steel Pole Bath Tub
Get Down, Make Love - NIN
Beijing - Dessau
Bringing it Down - Judge
Two Beats Off - Fugazi
There's probably more on it, but that's all I had written down. Clearly I was in an Al Jourgenson phase that I've since (thankfully) grown out of.
So, file under "dana at 20."
