Jack radio is infiltrating every nook and cranny of radio turf. One of the major qualms listeners have of this format is the lack of backsells, or naming what was just played. Normal radio is losing the battle, and I doubt it will be around in 50 years. The internet and satellite radio are just too appealing to people. No one thought that subscription based radio would even get off the air, millions of subscribers later...

It's not gonna take 50 years.

Before you know it, 99% of broadcast radio will be talk & Spanish.

I think it will. Radio won't go away overnight. Plus, think about how long it will take for even the poor to be saturated with other options.
