Maybe. You might hate it. It's slightly polarizing.

A RIYL is really tough. We had a thread on it (which you could search for) where I think some people made some comparisons. I compared it to Sufjan Stevens (and I still think there is some similarity), but that mostly got shot down.

the store where i got ships usually puts a sticker with a brief description of the album on the cover. the one for ships listed the guests and then noted, "what can i say... this guy makes weird records."

i agree that danielson (and every name that he records under) is slightly polarizing.

It's good but I don't enjoy it as much as other quirky indie rock. Vocals sound a little like Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, music has similarities to Sufjan (plus there's a rumor he's going to show up at all of their shows apparently) but is definitely more up beat and "edgy-er" or something.

Good but don't expect something amazing.

i heard it playing in a company vehicle the other day and thought it was a new arcade fire track, but this was mostly based on the vocals and probably because i was listening to the classic rock station immediately prior
