i would definitely not miss him, ever. the floor seats sold out immediately and i clicked on them RIGHT WHEN THEY WENT ONSALE. like, i was logged in, and i was refreshing until they went onsale, right when they went onsale i hit 2 tickets best available and they were all gone, but i had another window opened luckily looking for balcony seats and i got two of those, and when i went to the akron tickets in the other window i had open, they were sold out and i looked at those right at 10 as well, well a few seconds after i got my asheville shit settled. then, after i was going through with buying the balcony seats i checked to see if there were any better ones available and they were all sold out, so i got my two lucky tickets.

fuck yes.

I know a 90 year-old writer from Asheville. Lives up here now. Wife and I went to a poetry reading of hers yesterday. Very nice lady. Has an "Our Town" type play that's mighty good, too, though she'll never get famous. It and most of her poems are about people from Asheville from 60-80 years ago.

I'm going to try to get tickets to the Chicago show. They go on sale tomorrow. I've got a couple people that are going to help me. I'm still not very confident I'll get tickets. I assume they'll sell out in an instant.

they are $80 here at the Ryman, and while Ryan Adams sold out in about 2 hours, Waits-ies can still get tix here.

I can't believe they aren't sold out. Ryan Adams vs Tom Waits, that's ridiculous. People don't know what they'll be missing.
I have that giddy feeling you get when you're around someone you really care about. Yeah, and I still have a month until I see him.
Oh shit. I can't wait.
How far away is this place you speak of? I could shell out some more money to see my favorite artist.

hey, if akron ohio and asheville nc can sell out in seconds then I think nashville will sell out quite fast.

They are selling some for $44.50. Front row of the balcony is the best seat in the Ryman.

I'm reconsidering buying tickets.

I survived not seeing Radiohead for $125, so I wonder if I can survive not seeing Tom.

well, you've also already seen him. do you really want to taint the memory of that exceptional performance?

^^^ The reason I'm friends with you.

I don't know. I mean, $200 towards a bed or TW tickets? Contact lenses, new glasses, books for school, school itself, etc? All stuff that I need more than a concert.

I hate being a grown-up.

Yeah I got general admission tickets for the Atlanta show.

Tons of people got screwed by the Ticketmaster site while trying to buy tickets. Luckily I managed to get two, but I couldn't get balcony seats (must've sold out in under 5 minutes). Also, I had to buy one ticket at a time and use a separate credit card for each one. Horrible experience.

The balcony at the Tabernacle is pretty close to the stage. It's much better than being on the floor usually.

Where's the show? It doesn't sound like its at The Orange Peel since its GA. Thomas Wolfe Auditorium? I saw Ryan Adams there and its basically basically a seated theater, but I had a good time at the show. I was wasted too, so that helped.

tommy, what's the balcony like at the thomas wolfe auditorium? does the section facing the stage hang over the second floor section or is it so far back that there is no way you'll see anything?
