A friend of mine gave me a used copy of the Elektra Records version of A Series Of Sneaks by Spoon and I was wondering if the extra tracks on the Merge Records version are worth it to buy.

they're more interesting for the story than the songs, but i'm sure you'll get told otherwise.

the extra tracks are agony of laffitte/laffitte don't fail me now right?

I wouldn't tell you how to spend your money but both of those tracks kick ass. I've always thought agony of laffitte was one of the catchiest songs he ever wrote and thats saying a lot. I seriously had that song stuck in my head for like 2 years.

Totally agree. Those two tracks are worth getting. If you don't want to lay out extra cash for the Merge re-ish, you can still pick up the Agony of Lafitte CD single - I found it in the used bins for $1.98

Amazon has that cd-single used for a tad under $60.
