Hour meeting with the manager this morning. Now a four hour orientation this evening, where we get to watch the same old workplace hazards videos and go over the same old "this logo means poisonous", "if someone has a weapon, do not go after them" blah blah.

Is it worth it for part-time, $7.82 an hour? Probably not but this is only the third interview I've gotten in the past six months and the first that called me back afterwards so I'll take it.

More complaining and bitterness to follow.

I do not miss my retail days. Of course, I was in high school still...which may have something to do with it.

Better to be bitter with cash in hand no matter how little rather than nothing but sweat inside your hand.

Get the job and immediately start looking for a new, better one.

Is there a reason why you don't apply for non-retail jobs? Are you still in school?

it was pre-Gap right?

all jeans, no friggin' tan chinos.

them 80's girls looked hot with their tight jeans and poofed up hair.

i'm almost positive they sold Lightning Bolt t-shirts too.

i don't know the history of it. i worked there summer of 1997, if i remember correctly. and i don't think they only sold jeans in regards to pants. they sold pretty much everything. like the gap. it was pretty much me and a flock of 17 and 18 year old girls.
