I dunno. Depends on the shoe.

I really like these, but So far I haven't been able to bring myself to pay the $80 or $120 to get 'em.

$245 for a ballet flat? And for Easy Spirit? Hell no! Comfort is key, I agree, but not at 245 clams.

Guess I'm cheap that way.

The most I've ever spent on shoes are my nice Kenneth Cole black dress shoes that I wear with my suits. Spent $160 but I'll wear them for 4-5 years probably since I don't wear suits too often.

The most expensive shoes I've ever owned (read: parents bought), were some Vasque hiking boots that were around $200 but they've lasted me for over 12 years. I've even had them re-treaded.

the only reason i'm considering them is because i can wear them with almost anything, if not everything. and aren't easy spirt the shoes that look like a heel, but feel like a sneaker? so they're probably comfortable.

I've never gone much over $100.

I have a lot of shoes for a guy, though.

~ $200. I can't bring myself to buy a pair of Allen Edmonds yet tho.

Now, Tod's Suede Driving Mocs? If I had the means, I would definitely get a pair.

i'm thinking of buying $250 fluevog heels or these $80 mary janes.

the most i've ever paid for shoes would be $150 for running shoes. even my knee high corset boots were under $100.

Spent 70 GBP ($130ish) for my Terra Plana BOIs, and barring formal occasions (TP Astons... also $130ish) they are the only shoes I wear.

I spent a lot on these when I was in Paris. They were probably about $200 CDN, but I couldn't resist and spoiled myself:

And yet these are the priciest shoes I got. I've seen them retail for $225 (don't worry, I didn't pay for them):

I bought a pair of Cole Haans for ~$150 and they are great shoes - but mostly for wearing with dress pants and suits, so I don't wear them all that often. I would expect to get 7-8 years out of them.

For casual shoes, It's been $90 at the most, but maybe someday I will join the big leagues and get some ridiculously expensive loafers. I'm a pretty big fan of shoes.

Those are dope.

I've probably spent around $200 on a pair of shoes before, but I probably wear my two pair of Vans Slip-Ons the most, and they cost $35.

Right. I should mention that despite having $1000+ worth of shoes in my closet, I pretty much only wear my 3 year old disgusting New Balances.

I usually don't spend less than a 100 on shoes. I spent as much as 275 and would probably go up to 300. I'd rather buy quality that'll last and still look good.

Being on my feet all day, I'll do what I gotta do to make it happen.

I've got two pairs of shoes that I teach in, Borns (I think they were $120, and $200 Birk dress shoes. The last pair of Birk dress shoes I had I wore daily from 99 till 05.

Worth it to me. $300 some for w pairs of shoes that will easily last me 5 years = totally worth it.

No you're not. If you're going to spend $245, it better be on an Italian shoe or something completely inappropriate and sexy, not an Easy Spirit ballet flat.

edit: my next suggestion would be to befriend folks who work in retail, so you can cash in on the friend discount.

$245 for easy spirit ballet flats?!?! HELL NO!

i got a pair of white steve madden flats in a similar style for $55 and i thought that was ridiculous (the other flats i have were $20 max) but then the comfort and quality was worth it.

i've been eyeing this pair of shoes for quite sometime (plus i haven't bought a pair of pumas in awhile), but they're $160:
Image

one day i'm going to get those. i usually don't spend over $100 for a pair of shoes.

Holy crap, how do they justify charging that much for those shoes? Do they at least give you a reach around while you're buying them?

I bought these redwings I'm wearing for $150 but they last for like 6 years and I wear them almost everyday so you kinda get your moneys worth.
