For what it's worth, it is a good song, that I've kept on my ipod after you recommended it. But I can't get through the whole album because I can't help thinking "why don't I just listen to the Beatles?"

because he did it in his garage on a 4 track..not to mention, because the songs are great..and because its Ringo-less.
