i really like them, and its because of the comfort aspect that i'm even considering buying them. besides, ballet flats make my feet look good. regular flats make my wide feet look like they're just oozing out of the shoe.

forget it, i'll look for something else at dsw.

I paid the equivalent of $300 for a pair of Salomon mountain boots, so I guess that's my most expensive footwear purchase.

Since I was 18 I've always worn 8 hole Doc Marten boots and simply replace them when they wear out (every 2 years or so). They cost the equivalent of about $100.

I don't own a pair of 'sneakers' or shoes.

if you pay 245 for shoes, they better have rocket boosters or a switchblade in them.

and i want these, for 110 dollars

and then i want these for 140

that one has a zipper on the inside so you don't have to lace up and down every time you take them off. i know i probably don't need two pairs of black boots but it might be nice to have the 14 eyes to wear on warmer days and the 20 eyes to wear on cooler ones, or something.
they're both so cute.

I'm with Tanner on this one for real shoes, not just bangin' around shoes.

same here in theory and I think it is in direct proportion to one's income.

But...
The most expensive shoes I've ever owned (read: parents bought), were some Vasque hiking boots that were around $200 but they've lasted me for over 12 years. I've even had them re-treaded.
This is also true because I think the most that I've spent personally is about $150 on a pair of wingtips.

I am an anarcho-socialist who thinks all this crap about fashion is a techno-capitalist ruse to make us sodden and sleepy in our consumer fetishism.

I pay over $300 for Mephisto's. Got multiple kinds of Ecco.. three pairs of receptors all at $120.

I think in the past I've spent around $120 for some dress shoes from j.crew, but nowadays I try not to spend more that $70.

I just bought three pairs of Steve Madden shoes last week from K&G and they were all $50.

The most I’ve ever spent was $99.00 and that was on a pair of Fluevogs (and maybe $89.00 for Mary Jane Docs). I couldn’t fathom paying $245.00 for a pair of shoes, especially Easy Spirit (though, those look ok).

My current favorite shoes now are made by Rocket Dog and they are very comfortable – I found that they also make “ballet” styled shoes for a much more reasonable price…

For me $245 (US!) is waaay too much for a pair of flats when I could find something for a third of the price that would be comfortable once worn in.

The only time I've paid close that much for shoes is for fabulous heels. And I'm about to get a pair of soft leather boots for $150 US. Oh, and an awesome pair of those fashion jogger type things made by a French brand called Quick were also around that price that are the single most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned and I wear everywhere.

I wore one pair of these for 5 years in high school (since we had a uniform requiring black shoes), and since then whenever I've had waitressing jobs. Extremely comfortable and value for money

I'm the same way, except more like $500 and a pair of falling-apart-badly Sauconys....

I don't think I could justify spending more than $80 these days, and they would have to be for a very specific need.
The most I have spent was somewhere around $80-100 on wrestling shoes my Senior year of High School. Other than that I have paid around $60 for some New Balance running shoes and some Converse sneakers before.
I usually go to Payless or Target and buy shoes.
