Not to be a downer, but after a week of 100+ heat index in St. Louis, we finally dropped to 82 degrees today with low humidity. All it took were two huge thunderstorms causing power outages to 400,000+ people.

It wasn't really your post, just that you used downer in it.

Well, my sis works for the PD, though, I doubt it would do me any good. Maybe if I called some firemen.

Well, after I re-read my post, the whole "400,000 power outages" part sounded exactly like something that character would say, so it made me laugh even harder.

Inside my apartment it's 76.

A friend of mine is on holiday in Las Vegas and the last I checked the LOWEST temperature all week was 107.

She's paler than me, she's probably dead.

Last weekend was Ass Hot too...

Just glad that the convention halls down here are (mostly) air conditioned. If I had stayed home this weekend, I'd be so hot that I'd be farting dust out of my sweaty ass....

Not to make this a pissing contest or anything, but is was 118 degrees here in Phoenix on Friday, 116 yesterday, and is slated to be 114 today. It was 104 degrees by 7:30 am yesterday! My lawn desperately needs to be mowed, but it ain't happening anytime soon!

Yeah, but I bet you have air conditioning in your house, don't you? I've got Mexican A/C -- that's where you open all the windows, turn on the fans and HOPE you get a breeze.

it's a bit cooler today, but i'm pissed because i wanted to go to the beach and apparently that's not happening because it's overcast.

Best time to go to the beach is when it's overcast. You can still get a tan.

I'm with you ladies... this heat sucks. It was 73 outside this morning at 6 am. Thank God we have a window AC unit for the upstairs part of the house, otherwise I'd have died this weekend.

Yeah, but when I go outside I'm instantly crisped like fried chicken.
