My summer roadside BBQ fest continued yesterday with a brisket sandwich that I think was bigger than Jen and Josh's new (and sickeningly cute) daughter. It was amazing. I've taken to traveling with a roll of paper towels in my car to mop up the sauce.
Gonna start drankin' now.

Got my new car (a Pontiac G6) today and it's smoove as hell.

Tomorrow is heavy on errands, then moms comes into town in the PM. Her best friend has cancer and it just spread to her brain, so moms is a little down. Her words today, "Yeah, I think we need to go out and get some drinks."

Sunday: Head south for a get-to-know-you reception with my cousin's fiance's family. This will be pretty good. My cousin is one of the best people on the planet and her beau is aces as well, so I'm sure his family will be cool.
Get home and prepare for...

Monday - Fly to Austin for a week of non-stop mongering w/ Chuck(e)D and my old roommate, who's already in town visiting his sister.

Friday - flew to florida. rough flight. got bad case of motion sickness. slept for the last six hours. sorry for the no call Dalen....if ya see this, ill try and hit ya up on saturday although i know you said you may bve busy

saturday - hang withthe grandfolks. have dinner at 4:30.....count minutes till i fly home on sunday

sunday - fly home. see clerks 2.

monday - took day off work. going to splish space water park with NothingFEM (i need a name to refer to the g/f)

Friday: hellish day at work. Just started 3rd G&T. Prolly watch some shitty movie. Sleep.

Sat: sleep later than 7 a.m. for first time in 3wks. Get oil change. Spend rest of day with my daughters, bitterbuffalo and his daughters, while our wives get massages/go shopping---(tradeoff for our trip to Chicago next weekend for the Pfork festival). Prolly drink a little.

Sun: hmm. Open for suggestions.

Mon: Utah state holiday (Pioneer Day)--likely toast Brigham Young with a T10 martini and a Jell-O shot.

Saw Muse tonight - I really don't get it. They're like a mix between Radiohead and Weezer's "Maladroit", of which I have more fondness for the latter... However, I know they're hallowed by a few 'round here, so I'll, stop for now...

Tomorrow, in addition to the Con, I have tix for a Clerks II screening w/Kevin Smith Q&A following tomorrow evening...

I guess it's my week(end) to be busy to make up for the rest of the board.

pretty much had the best weekend so far. threw a party last night for my best mate's 30th birthday and everyone got drunk and had a blast. today me, my lady, one of my best friends and the birthday boy woke up, made a kickass breakfast of eggs, hash browns, and threw a pork chop and two steaks on the grill. then my friend and i went on a 2 hour bike ride up the lakefront and all throughout the city. now i'm showered, going to the friend's loft to bash out some to-be drunken rock and roll, then we're going to the bar to meet up w/ the birthday boy for more drinks, then have everyone walk back to my place to sit on the deck, listen to tunes, and drink the leftover beer from last night.

Didn't you see the babies thread? I don't want to inspire any squealing...

I forgot some friends of mine were playing a gig at a local bar last night; my duties morphed from "hey man can you come by when we're sound checking and see how it sounds?" to actually loaning them gear and running the board for them all night.

It was cool though. Not as fun as actually playing a gig, but a similiar vibe.

C'mon, Kyle. Make me squeal.

Worked and watched the Nebraska Shrine Football Classic.
Today:
I went for an eight mile bike ride this morning, a walk this afternoon. I just took my dog out for his walk and am now consuming a bottle of wine.
I do not work again until Wednesday night.

Now you hush... I can compliment whoever I damn well please.
