you can throw a rock in the air here and chances are you will hit a singer songwriter. or an unemployed "graphic artist." sometimes - both.

Yeah, whatever dude... Portland tries in no way, shape or form to be like Seattle, and that's why people are much cooler and laid back here, haha.

Seattle's just the stopping point on the way to the ultimate cool city, Vancouver, anyway. ;)

okay i love la. i grew up here. so la is where my heart is.

however, portland vs. seattle, i liked portland a LOT better. seattle was blah to me. speaking of portland, i need to make a trip up there soon... gotta visit the mom.

LA and Portland are VERY different but both cool in their own ways. LA is like 10 cities in one so its hard to compare, however.

It´s true that Vancouver has us both beat.

And to be fair, I like Portland, but it´s not a city that sticks out or is very memorable. I love Seattle, obv. I fell in love with Boston the few times I´ve been there. Chicago too. Some cities have a vibe that draw you in and you feel connected to it. Portland has never had that for me. It just is. It´s there and it´s generic and it´s just a... city. I´ve never found anything remarkable about Portland.

Don't stop by the board for a couple days, and I miss something like this...

and love my job where the workflow fluctuates by season even more, as I might be working 7 days/wk by late Sept...

You should totally just do the Portland/LA commute by Pegasus...

Is worth pointing out as a rare instance of agreement between us. Now if she could only get used to the West Side...

look closer. the weird thing about seattle is that is has natural beauty in spades and a lot going for it, but when I am there it seems a bit boring after that. Portland just seems to have more life and energy these days - Seattle seems a little stodgy...maybe because Portland is more working class - I just dont know.

I won't let you escape. Even if I have to fly my pegasus to your place and knock down your door with pegasus hooves.

I figured as much, but there was a tug of war and I was trying to be clever.

I'm hitting both. I think I have to now.

Pegasus Hooves? Is that a Mars Volta side project?

Oh wait... I was thinking of Los Pezuña del Unicornio con Ala. Pegasus Hooves is the violin player from Yellowcard using effects pedals and playing solo..

Oh wait... I was thinking of Final Fantasy. My bad...
