I didn't even realize this album saw release in the US on Sept 19th. Didn't get much popular press coverage here. Have not heard it yet and have no real desire to and I'm a huge Shadow fan.

Urgh. I struggled through it twice a couple weeks back, and really, I'd probably consider it to be one of the worst things I've heard all year. Even the more traditional Shadow-y second half is bullshit: those tracks are even shittier than the ones with the rappers. He gets credit for attempting to branch out, but Christ, what a mess.

I wish he stuck with the hyphy sound for the entire album - he's very good at making that type of music.

My opinion is that the album's simply "ok," but hopefully it will grow on me.

I only listened to about half of it so far but the only tracks I liked were the 2 at the beginning with turf talk & keak da sneak and the david banner track. i think i made it up to artifact and then turned it off.

just downlad the Keak the Sneak track and the awesome Banner track and be done with it

gonna go see him Friday. Not too wild about the new album, but curious how it's all gonna play out in concert.

so i listened to the whole thing today and concluded that it's a piece of shit. also, the tags on the copy that i downloaded are messed up so i didn't get to hear that track with e-40 or the 3 freaks remix. i swear that song with christina carter sounds like it should be on an enya album and the intro should be on a manowar album.
