i hardly think that a fresh loaf of bread sliced in half with fresh ingredients is somehow going to be inferior to frozen pizza simply because the frozen pizza looks like it's the right shape.
doesnt anyone stock basic ingredients in their cupboard anymore?

Pizza dough a opposed to bread, dude.

And I didn't say it would be inferior, just that it wouldn't really be a pizza.

ahhh, i see yr point.
i just like to use fresh ingredients whenever i can. my gf & i actually both spend a lot of time in kitchens of old italian women, so a lot of the dough/sauce/etc issues kinda sorted themselves out early on. i can make a pretty badass lasagna entirely from scratch, noodles to sauce.

Update:

I tried freschetta for the first time last night and I thought it was quite good. Much better than digiorno (I don't care for their crust).

I also bought one of these Jack's pizzas that people seem to dig and will give that a try either tonight or tomorrow.
