Nebraska Basketball coach Barry Collier accepted the job as Butler University Athletic Director. He took a 400K paycut, but was most likely going to be canned by the end of the upcoming college basketball season.
Now Nebraska is going to be looking for a coach and will be paying some decent cash if they don't hire an interim coach.
Supposedly the coaches of Nevada and Wichita State are high on the list. With Bob Huggins at K-State, Big 12 Basketball should be quite interesting this year.
The Huskers have absolutely no talent, but with a decent coach they might be able to turn an NIT bid into an NCAA bid this year.

Not that anyone cares but me, but it might be a false alarm. Supposedly Butler can't pay as much as the initial salary offer for this position was stated to be. It could get real interesting. Nebraska might still fire him and pay up a little cash, rather than have him be a lame duck.
If I was a huge basketball fan, I'd probably be livid about this, but basically it is just a huge, hillarious disaster.
