I started a group for Obner on Yahoo for the upcoming CFB season.

If you want to take part, and I encourage all the people who did March Madness to take part, the group ID # is 1454, the password is obner.

I don't know if we'll play for anything, I'll leave that all up to the majority of the people. There will be no confidence points used in this group, it is all straight up picks based on the spread with a tie breaker.

awesome. i said earlier this year that i wanted to do a pick 'em league this fall. it looks like i'll be doing that now. thanks. and i'd kinda prefer no prize, just satisfaction. it's not like everyone would send in their disc anyway.

I'm fine with the no prize rule. I got strapped for cash during March Madness and was later than I would have like to been with the cd purchase.
If the vast majority of people still want a cd, we can create an initial out clause for those people who are just playing for the thrill of victory. That way only those who accept the bet will be held responsible.

I agree it is early, but it takes like a minute to register and everyone here will get an idea of who they are up against. I figure if we can make a five page thread about the upcoming College Football season, we should be able to get a dozen people to register by the end of the weekend.

um ok...sorry to be a noob but how do you do that? searching yahoo groups for league id# 1454 also gives nothing.

If everyone did keep their names, it would allow everyone else to know who is winning and me to remind people on here to make their picks if you forget.

Where are all the Atlanta peeps who worship the dawgs? I thought all the SEC folks would represent. We have 8 players as of early this morning. I thought we would easily have 12-16 by today. The season starts in 24 days, I better see some UGA people by the thursday night game.
