500 dollars... but my jaw doesn't crack or lock up and my headaches have decreased. if you need it, all you do is sleep with it in. it really makes life better.

I used to in my sleep as a kid. They put in little fillings to offset my bite, and told me to drink warm milk before bed. Try the milk.

i don't think i grind when i'm sleeping. that's the sad part. i think i do it when i'm awake and i didn't even realize how bad it was until the dentist told me.

Had one as a teenager... really did help in reducing the number and magnitude of my headaches.

my dentist recommended one for me, but i couldn't sleep with it.

i have trouble sleeping without it now. but i need to let it go someday.

i grind my teeth, too. i also have tmj, so my jaw doesn't always cooperate when i'm yawning or otherwise have an open mouth.

When I am stressed out I grind my teeth in my sleep, or just clench my jaw really hard. I didn't know I did so until a, um, bed-buddy told me one morning. He said the grinding sound woke him up. I did start having horrible headaches as well, mostly from the clenching.
Before shelling out a gajillion bucks for the dentist-made tooth guard, look for one in the drugstore. I bought one for $25 at Kroger... comes in different sizes, and you take it and put it in boiling water to semi-melt the rubber material, then squish it onto your teeth to mold it. Set it in cold water and you're all done. This works fine if you only need something every now and then. The one I got is called The Doctor's Night Guard.

I just clench my jaw all the time, until I get a headache. then I conciously stop.

so, tee-tee. Is it a subconscious habit or are you poppin' them gofast pills a little too much?
