That's a Ben Franklin quote.

Wrong. It's an Esperanza Cornett quote.

Truths should not defined by the people who say them.

Just know it's true, and all will be right in the world.

(and, if that were a spam mail, I'd totally open it. it's instinct, like a bear catching trout in his mouth)...

I got one yesterday that was "Pete, I'm sorry about the skillet."

Almost opened it.

crazy talk! I shall never let you drunk drive home after drinking a 12 er of Newcastle at my house again! ;)
Wine, like beer, is an acquired taste. And once you taste it, it's the sweet sweet nectar of the gods. 'Cept that Charles Shaw crap.

I swore I'd never drink wine again after drinking a couple of bottles at a winefest in Germany and waking up with the worst hangover ever.

you know, correct me if I am wrong, but beer is one of those things, like women (or, well... the opposite sex, or well, the same sex, if that is your orientation) that somehow, no matter how many times it hurts you, still makes you want to give it one more shot.

here's to woman (my amazing--yet occasionally frustrating--wife) and beer!

Wait.... there's a difference?

No wonder they look at me funny when I turn in my recyclables...

Same. I was unbelievably close to vomiting in a lecture last week after drinking a bottle of the stuff (then moving onto better things) the night before. Unfortunately I still have half a dozen bottles that will need to be consumed at some point...

And wine also makes me a far worse drunk than just about anything else.

Substitute vodka in that thread title and I'm with you all the way

I first heard that quote in a humorous song on a Florida radio station back in like 1999 or 2000 sometime.
