So, we are moving=I am packing. I have all these boxes stacked up in the corner of my living room. I was home yesterday packing and went over to add another box to the stack. The top box was all wet.

I thought the cat had peed on the boxes and was ticked. Thankfully, before taking my wrath out on the cat (sorry POD), I realized that it was my ceiling was leaking.

My upstairs neighbor had their air conditioner tilted in instead of out and hadn't noticed it was leaking.

The boxes that got wet contained all my suits, dresses, skirts, jackets--mostly dry clean only. I am pissed.

I went upstairs and the neighbors wouldn't even answer their door even though I could hear them up there. I left a note very nicely explaining the situation and called my maintenance man.

I have to do three loads of laundry and probably have $150 worth of dry cleaning which my maintenance man can't pay for because it wasn't the building's fault. That fucking neighbor still won't open his door and screaming in the hallway is just not very ladylike.

Grrrrrr

Unspeakably cruel retaliation must be your parting gift to them.

Do they have a car? Outdoor belongings? Mess with that on your way out. Dog/Cat shit under the windshield wipers and door handles will teach them.

They could at least have the decency to open the door.

Also, I think that's the guy with the goddamn keyboard--he only knows one fucking song and it's like carnival music.

Remember that Haq or Sketch? do-da-do-do It's like 5 notes.

Yeah, I think I'm gonna sic Phil on him when he comes up. Although if they won't answer the door to me, I doubt they'll answer it for him. At least apologize. If it were me I would apologize and offer to split the costs of all my laundry and dry cleaning but I guess my mama raised me right.

That's right. You were here in my old neighbor across the hall found out his girl had been cheating and came home at one in the morning, during the week, screaming whore.

This is why I want to buy a house, more distance than a wall or floor.

That and I get to do all the packing, handle all administrative tasks (change of address, cancel utilities), and get my parents staying with me for two weeks because they feel the need to "be helpful" since Phil isn't here.

Believe me, Phil had this rigged, he's getting off easy.

Don't move to England then. I'm buying a mid-terrace. Technically a house but attached on both sides. Still, it's property and has some serious investment potential.

I vaguely remember the keyboard but have generally suppressed that memory. Earplugs help a ton with stuff like that.
