i'm thinking about taking my son (13) to see this. i've read the reviews but can't get a handle on what level the sexual content lies on. a little sex here and there isn't so bad but i was concerned that with michael mann's styling it might be a bit too soft core porn for my son and i to sit through together.

somehow i'm hoping for an actual answer among the tirade of lewd comments that may follow.

Sounds like there's not much in there that would be too bad... except of course for the fact that it's IMPLIED THAT THEY LIVE TOGETHER!

If we've learnt anything from the thread about sex and music, it's that if you're not careful, exposing your son to this film my result in him garnering un-Christian ideas about appropriate out-of-wedlock activities and may essentially lead him to one day "live in sin" with women who walk around in their *gasp* bathrobes!!!

I didn't think the sex scenes were anything beyond what you might see on 24 or another primetime show, just with a bit of nudity added.

The violence was pretty intense, but it's Michael Mann, so of course the shootouts are loud and, well, intense.

Yeah, I wouldn't feel too comfortable watching that with my mom. Especially not when I was thirteen.

I still try to avoid watching Clerks if I know they're going to be around or in the room at any point because of some of the dialogue.

Having gone into it hearing all the "sex sex sex" talk from reviews, I'd have to say that sex is to a minimum. There is a shower scene with Foxx and his gf where we see her ass and sideboob (stunt butt), and then a scene in bed, but we don't see any nudity there. The sex between Farrell and his girl is nothing to write home about either.

Truthfully, I'd be more worried about the graphic nature of heads getting blown open, and brains splattering on the walls, and cars.
