Well, I'm almost 10 minutes into this 55-minute descent into madness, and I'm loving what I've heard so far. I can only hope I'm able to hear the remaining 45 minutes before my door gets busted down and I get unceremoniously dragged to Gitmo.

That intro is pretty badass, Bloor...especially using "Undercover" as the bed. Hearing you two guys together, it just dawned on me that your voices and bodies should be juxtaposed. Bloor has the menacing baritone of a 6'9" Christmas tree-stomping monster, while LooGAR has a trebly voice more suited for the type of preening metrosexual we all know Chris K. to be.

Thanks for the "Celebrity Mugshot Chat Room" plug, and nice work on that impression of the dude with the Krylon beard.

Bah, you beat me to this post Bob. I just wrote up a blurb and thought I'd make sure no one had done so. Glad I did:

--------
Fucking hilarious, boys. That intro had me laughing out loud (coincidentally while browsing the local big box, like last time. This time I bought the Dolls and Tower of London), especially the Nicky Santoro quote "..cause I'm fuckin' stupid, I don't give a fuck about JAIL, that's my business, it's what I do". Perfect.

Song selection was great; I'd never heard the Chuck Berry or KK tunes, so that alone was worth the time. I personally thought the opener should've been the Heartbreakers or Chuck as opposed to that slow opener, but that's the only thing I would change. And, the back and forth between the two of you is ridiculously natural. I actually could have just listened to you idiots jabber away at each other for awhile. That was entertaining on its own.

I'm gonna be looking forward to more episodes of solo Bloor material, or the Chris and Dave show. Great job.

To me, the banter was absolutely the highlight of this episode, though the selected tracks (especially Kristofferson) were also open qual.

Yeah, I fucking laughed at that as well. I think I'll pay them to promote my visit in the near future.

I'll listen to it tonight but I'm a little scared to seeing as I'm apparently being made fun of. ;)

I took it more as a loving tribute to you, Chris. Especially the fact that LooGAR was very careful to correctly pronounce your last name. Plus, the closing dedication was to your very own "big sister."

First one's free, then he'll have to talk to the Hip-D ad department.

not for nothing, but this thread does little to actually promote the podblast, FT. No links, the title is obtuse, etc.

You be slippin'.

Yeah, I guess a link would be called for in this instance...

http://www.switchpod.com/users/bobsixtysix/ftp/hipd3_intro.mp3

Then again, the point of having content such as the PodBlast is to get people to actually visit Hip Displeasure, and not merely crib links from Obner.

I definitely would have switched your voices with the images that I have for you two. Loogar sounds incredibly funny for some reason.

I dunno. Have I? When in doubt, I generally just make up my own.

That spoken word version of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is awesome. I need to pickup a copy of that this week.

I just stepped into this...

Can ysi if you want, Fu. Or anyone else for that matter. It is essential listening.
